Join the Cow-led resistance

Welcome, my friends, to Jazz Cow, where a sax-wielding cow leads the rebellion against Big Tech. I’m animation director John Lumgair.

Meet Jazz Cow: reluctant bandleader, part-time philosopher, and thorn in the side of tech-mogul villain Dr. Popp. Whose vision is a world happily consuming his algorithmic slop — safe, convenient, and utterly artificial. Jazz Cow’s ramshackle band of artists, poets, and misfits still believe human connection doesn’t need a subscription service.

We’ve been tantalisingly close to production… a few times. I’m starting to feel like the Grand Duke of York — marching my animated troops up the hill, only to be marched back down again.

Why subscribe, you ask?

This isn’t just about making a show—it’s about the process of bringing something brand new into being. Saddle up and join us as we bring the Jazz Cow animated sitcom to life. Subscribe for full access to The Jazz Cow newsletter and its archives.

What you’ll see:

  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses of the creative process, and as a bonus, watch someone slowly losing their mind.

  • Fresh updates on our progress (and occasional detours).

  • Introductions to characters and the team

  • Secrets of the world and the strange ideas that birthed the show.

  • Unexpected delights, because who doesn’t enjoy the odd surprise?

  • Artistic influences

Whether you’re here for the art, the pleasure of watching someone else's midlife crisis, or the sheer joy of a jazz cow taking on Big Tech (someone has to), you’re welcome in this back-alley jam session online.

Don’t miss a beat

Because in a world of endless reboots, sometimes the most radical act is creating something genuinely, unapologetically new. Even if it involves a cow with surprisingly strong opinions about data privacy.
